As most of you are aware, there is currently some situation here that is causing a notable disruption to the flow of information here
Two longstanding members- for some time - have constantly demanding that a third longstanding member be banned, for nothing more than holding opinions that conflict with most of the other members here
The disruption is getting worse lately despite some very common sense advice on how to resolve the stated complaints
There exists tools on the forum here, which negates such grievances. Its called the IGNORE list, and must be invoked by the member who finds another member's content to be objectionable
Staff members cannot add to nor modify your ignore list in any way. YOU as the member must do it
USE the ignore list by left clicking on the objectionable user's name and you will see a button marked IGNORE.
USE it
It has never been the practise of this site during 17 years of continuous uptime to BAN other members simply because they DISAGREE with other members. We arent gonna start catering to MOB RULE now.
I honestly like and RESPECT you guys, but this is MY HOUSE - my establishment - and will not tolerate guests DEMANDING that I eject other guests because they REFUSE to implement the IGNORE list
REFUSING to utilize the tools here to REMOVE the offending content from your display tells me that you are NOT acting in good faith, nor THINKING RATIONALLY, but only feeding off of the NEGATIVE energy YOU are emitting
Please dont force my hand on this
Think/act on this like a REASONABLE MAN, and move forward with productive activities for the REAL challenges ahead
