Hi Austin2359,
sorry for the trouble, could you tell us more about the issue? what is the email connected to the account?
were the missing episodes recorded or uploaded to the service before January 2015?
If so, I am sorry to say that there was a double storage failure that occurred in the second half of 2017 with the older equipment in use from the former ownership of TalkShoe. TalkShoe had two primary storage copies of every recording. And both storage units failed nearly at the same time. This unfortunately caused the loss of all TalkShoe episodes. A third storage copy was used to restore all episodes from January 1, 2015 to the time of the storage failures in 2017. But, this left all episodes prior to January 1, 2015 to still be unaccounted for. Some episodes prior to January 1, 2015 were also eventually restored from an even older archive. However, the majority of episodes before January 1, 2015 are now considered lost. The loss of these episodes has nothing to do with the major upgrade with the website and service that occurred in July 2018.
Since the upgrades to the TalkShoe service in July of 2018, the backups are now much more reliable and robust. The chances of recordings being lost are now extremely low. However, there is still a non-zero chance of that. So, we still encourage all hosts to keep archival copies of their shows.
Please feel free to reach out at any time if you have more questions

"Gangster Bolshevism" is a term that emerged during the early years of the Soviet Union, particularly during the period of Joseph Stalin's rule. It refers to a perception or characterization of the Soviet regime as employing ruthless, authoritarian, and often violent tactics reminiscent of organized crime or gangsterism.
The term suggests a combination of Bolshevik (referring to the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, which under Lenin's leadership, seized power during the Russian Revolution of 1917 and established the Soviet state) and gangster, implying that the Soviet government under Stalin was using tactics associated with criminal gangs to maintain control and suppress dissent.
The idea behind "Gangster Bolshevism" is often used to criticize the Stalinist regime for its brutality, corruption, and disregard for human rights. It highlights the authoritarian and oppressive nature of Stalin's rule, which involved purges, mass arrests, forced labor camps (Gulags), and political repression.

- Bolshevism: Origin and Theorists
- Bolshevism originated in early 20th-century Russia and was associated with the activities of the Bolshevik faction within the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party.
- Vladimir Lenin, the main theorist of Bolshevism, led this radical left-wing movement. Other key theoreticians included Leon Trotsky, Nikolai Bukharin, and Yevgeni Preobrazhensky2.
