The migratory path of the Plough (or "Big Dipper," as it is called in the U.S.), of the constellation Ursa Major, mapt round the Pole Star through the course of a year, forms a perfect Swastika.
Thus the swastika is has been since ancient and prehistoric times universally recognised as a symbolic representation of the like figure as it appears in the heavens. The Swastika is strongly emphasised in the Aryan cultures in particular.
